dungeons
Here on Explorers of Aestus, we strive to keep our dungeon systems relatively easy and staff-free. As such, you will get to handle just about every aspect of it! Staff will still be grading everything at the end to make sure that you did not try to cheat the system, but you should not find any problems as long as you follow the below:
► Members start the dungeon on their own for both missions and exploration.
► Civilians do not require Explorer escort. They can enter dungeons as they please, but they cannot take any quests or form teams other than for their own member quest.
► The team leader must start the dungeon thread.
► Teams are made up of a maximum of four Pokemon.
► Will be exceptionally long depending on the dungeon's depth, especially if you are traveling solo.
►Make sure to keep up with your hunger.
► Each floor for a team is one page.
► Each floor for a solo run is seven posts at 300 or more words per post.
► Each floor for a solo run is one page if you average less than 250 words.
► Everyone brings their bag into a dungeon; however, they also receive a temporary sack to put all items and money found within the dungeon. These sacks hold ten items.
► You must keep up with this as it will only be added to your log at the end of a dungeon.
► You only lose all items and money within the temporary sack if you fail a dungeon. Your permanent inventory and money will not be touched.
►These must be kept up to date with each post per member.
► All items and Pokemon are spawned based on dice rolls.
► Team leader rolls two sets of dice.
► Each set consists of one roll of 1-3 and another roll of 1-100. That is two rolls per set.
► All rolls must be on your post using the dice roller plugin ()
► Values 1-100 correspond with the numbers on the listings of each dungeon. Money values are listed below.
► Only roll again after everything from before has been dealt with. Wild Pokemon must either be defeated or ran from.
► Wild encounters are controlled by the team leader (solo dungeons makes you the team leader).
► You will follow the site's normal battling rules of one turn per post, one move per turn.
► Team leaders need to keep a "battle log" of each turn, so their post will have the following after or before their actual post:
► This also means that the team leader will be keeping track of the wild Pokemon's health. Stats are given in the dungeon information thread.
► You are free to take any extra steps you deem necessary, such as rolling off site or on site for accuracy, etc.
► Please use this calculator for damage.
► If you have reached an end condition (fail, pass, escape, or finished quest), then the team leader needs to post one last time with a complete list of the following:
► If you fail a dungeon by your entire team faints, then all of your item and money in your temporary sack will be lost.
► If you leave a dungeon with an escape orb, then you keep all the items and money earned in the dungeon.
► Escape orbs will warp your entire team out of the dungeon.
► Regardless, at the end of the thread the staff will fairly distribute the EXP earned in the dungeon.
Dungeon Bonus
If you manage to complete a dungeon or a quest, you have a high chance of being rewarded bonus experience. Awarded bonus EXP is based on overall post length and quality. Please note that this is per member, not the team as a whole.
